Close House - a place designed by young people - for young people!
Close House is an independent organisation that focuses on the needs of young people. The young person is our main concern and we also link with other agencies where this is to the benefit of the young person.
Based in Hereford City Centre we are at the hub of transport links throughout Herefordshire. Our central position means that young people can access Close House with ease.
The overall aim of Close House remains the same today as when we started, to support the personal, social, cultural, physical and spiritual development of young people. We want young people to be at the centre of their community, fully involved and participating.
Our support to young people is enabled through the building of relationships and the creation of mutual respect and valuing. Trust is essential to this and comes through relationship building over time.
Close House is open every Monday to Thursday between 1.00pm and 6.00pm. All young people between the ages of 13 and 25 are welcome to join our growing community
Close House also runs a number of closed sessions for specific groups. We currently run three groups, the first being for young people in recovery from mental health issues, the second offering support for young people in Aftercare (looked after system) and the third being a music group for young people interested in learning to play music in bands. Details of these groups are available by contacting Close House.
